Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, Kursan Asanov, was dismissed from his post, Report informs citing the TASS.

It is noted that he was fired for betraying the interests of the country.

Kursan Asanov held talks with former President Almazbek Atambayev during the clashes staged in the village of Koi-Tash.

It is noted that the Internal Investigation Service of the Ministry of internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan conducted an internal investigation "to perform the direct duties of the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Kursan Asanov to prevent mass riots and ensure the protection of public order during the events of August 7-8. “Based on the results of an official investigation for betraying the interests of the Kyrgyz police and loss of confidence, a proposal was made to relieve the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Kursan Asanov,” the press service said.

Earlier it was reported that The Chairman of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan Orozbek Opumbaev accused the former President of the Republic Almazbek Atambayev to stage a coup and murder.
