Kazakhstani police officers to wear sneakers in 2022

A new uniform for the Kazakh police will appear in January 2022, Report informs, citing Interfax.

The emphasis is on creating "the snuggest and most comfortable clothing for the police". In particular, policemen will start wearing sneakers, and metal elements (tokens, emblems, stars, and cockades) will be replaced with textile ones.

The patrol police and district police inspectors will be the first to receive new uniforms, the Kazakh Interior Ministry told the news agency.

Additional funds from the budget for the replacement of the uniforms will not be required. Its acquisition will be carried out in stages within the framework of the current budget programs and as the old uniform wears out.
