Kazakhstan removes First President's Day from list of public holidays

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed the law canceling the state holiday "Day of the First President of Kazakhstan".

The Head of State signed the law "On amendments to some legislative acts of Kazakhstan on cinematography, culture and holidays".

Earlier, the deputies of the Senate (upper house) of the Parliament of Kazakhstan adopted a law excluding the Day of the First President of the Republic from the list of public holidays.
