Kazakhstan increased wheat exports to Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan

In January 2019 Kazakhstan exported 691.8 thousand tons of wheat and meslin, which is 35.1% more than in the corresponding month of last year.

Report informs citing the Kazinform that exports in monetary terms amounted to $ 116.7 million, which makes a growth of 52.5% compared to a year earlier.

Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Azerbaijan are leading in export of Kazakh wheat.

In the reporting period, wheat and meslin were also exported to 13 other countries of the world - the total volume was 112.6 thousand tons, whereas a year earlier these products were sent to 10 countries (a total of 181.3 thousand tons). At the same time, export prices for Kazakh wheat for the CIS countries in January 2019 increased by 32.7%, for the rest of the world - by 7.6%. In general, in the first month of this year, export prices for wheat rose by 24.6%.
