The Senate of the Kazakh Parliament on Thursday ratified the agreement on legal assistance in administrative matters in the field of personal data exchange within the CIS, Report informs.
The agreement provides for the establishment of a legal framework for cooperation in the field of exchange of personal information within the CIS on mutual administrative issues: citizenship (also absence of it), migration registration, issuance of visas and identity documents.
The document is aimed at regulating public relations arising in the process of consideration and resolution of appeals from law enforcement agencies of the CIS countries on the provision of personal data of individuals.
The lower house of parliament approved the agreement in early March.
