Kassym-Jomart Tokayev takes over as president of Kazakhstan

Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev took an oath to the people of the country and took over as president of Kazakhstanat during a joint meeting of the chambers of the Parliament , Report informs citing the RIA Novosti.
Notably,, yesterday the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev resigned and handed over power for the remainder of the term to the Speaker of the Senate of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in the air of the national television.
Elections in Kazakhstan are scheduled for 2020.
