Jailed ex-Georgian president’s next of kin demand meeting

Giuli Alasania, the mother of the ex-president of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili, is demanding a meeting with her son, lawyer Georgi Gelkhauri told reporters, Report's Georgian bureau informs.

According to him, his ex-wife Sandra Roelofs and their children are also expected to meet with Saakashvili. The lawyer noted that the officially submitted written appeal has not yet been satisfied.

Note that Mikheil Saakashvili was detained on October 1 in Tbilisi. He was placed in prison No 12 in Rustavi.
