Iranian parliament adopts bill replacing death penalty for drug offenders

Baku. 23 November. REPPORT.AZ/ Iranian parliament approved the replacing death penalty for drug offenders.

Iranian lawmakers proposed to replace death penalty with 30 years of imprisonment.

Notably, the bill was presented to parliament after mass protests in Iran against application of death sentences for drug offences.
