Iran to accelerate process of uranium enrichment from tomorrow

Iran will accelerate the process of uranium enrichment after June 27.

Report informs citing the IRIB that the spokesperson for Iran's Atomic Energy Organization (AEOI), Behrouz Kamalvandi said.

"At the end of this period (June 27 - ed.) the speed of producing enriched uranium will be accelerated," - said Kamalvandi. He also added that Iran’s stockpile of enriched uranium will exceed 300 kilograms by June 27.

Spokesperson of AEOI noted that Europeans "cannot or do not want to fulfill their obligations" under the Joint Comprehensive Action Plan (JCPOA), but Europe "still has a chance" to keep the nuclear deal.

Notably, according to the nuclear deal, Iran should export the surplus of enriched uranium to other countries, if its volume exceeds 300 kg. On June 17, the Iranian side announced that the country did not consider itself obliged to fulfill this term in the existing conditions, and  the limits of enriched uranium established by the nuclear deal would be exceeded in 10 days.
