Iran's defense minister says negotiations with new US authorities impossible

Iranian Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh has stated that negotiations with the US administration led by new President Donald Trump are impossible, as Washington has never fulfilled previous agreements, Report informs via TASS.

He was speaking to the ISNA agency during a demonstration dedicated to the 46th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution victory.

"Americans are talking nonsense. We do not negotiate under sanctions and threats. And it is impossible to negotiate with the current US government. We do not accept them," he said.

On February 4, Trump signed an executive order to restore maximum US pressure on Iran. It provides, in particular, for Washington's intensification of efforts aimed at reducing Iranian oil exports. At the same time, Trump admitted the possibility of meeting with President Pezeshkian.
