Tehran refuses to negotiate with the US, as President Donald Trump's administration is not ready to resolve the issue through diplomatic means, Iranian government representative Fatemeh Mohajerani said at a press conference, Report informs via Iranian media.

Trump previously said he would prefer to make a deal with Iran on the nuclear issue rather than "bombing the hell out of it."

"Negotiations imply conditions. The language of force is not part of the negotiation process, and the declared maximum pressure does not contribute to negotiations in any way. We say 'no' to negotiations with the opposite side because they don't understand the language of diplomacy. The world has seen that the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action was signed as a result of Iran's efforts, but it all ended with their unilateral withdrawal," she noted.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said this week that although Trump expressed readiness for negotiations, he "keeps signing new decrees with anti-Iranian schemes."
