Iran has sent a note of protest to the Russian Foreign Ministry over the name of the Persian Gulf, Report informs, referring to spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry Saeed Khatibzadeh.
"Through our embassy in Moscow, a protest note has been submitted to the Russian Foreign Ministry," Khatibzadeh said.
He was commenting on the name ‘Arabian Gulf’ used for the Persian Gulf on the official account of the Russian Foreign Ministry (in Arabic).
