The first military satellite of Iran was successfully put on orbit by the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps on Wednesday, Report says citing IRNA.
According to IRGC, 'Noor Satellite,' the first Iranian military satellite, was launched from two-stage carrier Ghased and was placed in 425-km orbit.
The launch comes amid tensions between Tehran and Washington over its collapsing nuclear deal and after a US drone strike killed Guard Gen. Qassem Soleimani in January.
The US President has designated Iran's elite Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a foreign terrorist organization.
