Iran displays new mobile missile defense system

Iran displayed what it described as a domestically built long-range, mobile surface-to-air missile system Bavar-373 on Thursday, Report informs citing TASS.

"The Bavar-373 long-range anti-aircraft missile system was introduced by order of Mr. Hassan Rouhani as the most advanced and unique defense system in the country," the report said.

“Our new system is close in characteristics to the Russian S-400,” Al Mayadeen quoted Rouhani.

According to Press TV, the complex was presented at a ceremony dedicated to the celebration of Iran’s Defense Industry Day. In addition to the president, Defense Minister Amir Khatami and other senior military officials attended ceremony.
