International observers monitor the course of early presidential elections in Uzbekistan.
According to Report's correspondent from the 105th polling station sent to Tashkent, early presidential elections began at 8 a.m. and will last until 8 p.m. local time.
International observers from various companies and organizations, parliamentarians and representatives of the diplomatic corps visit polling stations and get acquainted with the conditions created to ensure safe and transparent voting of citizens.
Hiroyuki Ito, a representative of the Japanese company IM Corporation, told Report that this is his first experience of participating as an observer in the elections: "It is very interesting for me to follow the elections. I did not see any violations," he said.
"The elections are being held democratically and openly," said Soren Kroll, head of the German consulting company Laurea Germania.
The chairman of the polling station stated that 1,259 voters were registered in this precinct, of which 84 voters voted early: "Citizens are very active, they come and vote from 8 in the morning. There are a lot of foreign observers, which is good. By 9:25 a.m. local time, our polling station was visited by 24 foreign representatives."
