Hungary stands for nominating President of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan for Nobel Peace Price for his mediation in talks on Ukraine, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said at a joint press conference with Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu.
"The experience of Turkiye's mediation in the negotiations is the only successful one to date... Thanks to the efforts of President Erdogan and Foreign Minister Cavusoglu, a grain deal has appeared. We ask Turkiye to continue the practice of mediation... Today, an initiative has appeared, the essence of which is that President Erdogan receive the Nobel Prize Peace Prize, since the only successful experience of mediation in Ukraine is associated with his name," Szijjarto said.
