Baku. 24 November. REPORT.AZ/ The US decision to set observation points in Syria's north will complicate the situation in the region, Turkish National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said.
"I think this practice will jeopardize the situation in an already complicated region. We have expressed our concern to our US partners over their intention to deploy observation points in northern Syria," Akar said.
He said the Turkish military will take all necessary measures to ensure security on the Syrian border.
Pentagon chief James Mattis earlier declared US intention to deploy several observation points on the Syrian-Turkish border.
