Turkish Foreign Ministry comments on French Senate's resolution on Karabakh

The Turkish Foreign Ministry called the resolution of the French Senate on Nagorno-Karabakh "a manifestation of an absurd understanding of the situation, divorced from the facts."

Report informs, Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
This resolution of the French Senate demonstrates why the OSCE Minsk Group has not yet been able to solve this problem, the statement says.

As earlier reported, on November 18, at the Presidium of the French Senate, a group of senators influenced by the Armenian diaspora presented a draft resolution No. 145 'On the need to recognize the 'Nagorno-Karabakh Republic,' which was discussed and adopted on November 25. 305 out of 306 senators voted in favor.

Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev said that the adopted resolution "is nothing but an ordinary piece of paper."
