Hakan Fidan: There is greater need than ever for strategic cooperation in common geography

Strategic cooperation supporting development and prosperity in the common geography is needed more than ever, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said during the 2nd trilateral meeting of foreign affairs, economy/trade, and transport ministers of Azerbaijan-Türkiye-Uzbekistan in Ankara.

Fidan stated that Türkiye is pleased to host this meeting:

"Meetings in this format are an important platform for implementing projects to strengthen economic, transport, and energy connections between Turkestan, Caucasus, and Anatolia."

The minister added that this is a period when the international system cannot create peace, stability, and justice for a large part of the world.

"We are going through times when global tensions are rising and universal values are eroding. In response, as the Turkic world, we maintain unity within ourselves against the background of our historical ties on one hand, and on the other hand, we move towards being part of the solution," he emphasized.
