Tbilisi. 7 November. REPORT.AZ/ "If I am elected the president of Georgia, I will return Georgian citizenship to Mikheil Saakashvili," presidential candidate from opposition Grigol Vashadze said in an interview with Deutsche Welle.
Report's Georgian bureau informs that Vashadze said he would pardon all political prisoners along with Saakashvili: “As a lawyer, I want justice to prevail and this will become real. Georgia's third president will have the right to live in Georgia. It will be up to Mikheil Saakashvili to use this right or not."
The presidential candidate noted that every man of reason should be grateful to Saakashvili for turning the country into a modern state: "If Georgia's law enforcement or judicial system have questions to Mikheil Saakashvili, he must respond to them. If Saakashvili wants to establish his own political future in Georgia, then it is up to the Georgian people to decide."
