Georgian president hints to need for coalition government amid political tension

"After nine-year-long rule of the government, formed by the ruling majority (Georgian Dream), it is obvious that a coalition government is needed," Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili said in an interview with French newspaper Le Journal du Dimanche, the local bureau of Report informs.

In her view, it is difficult to imagine how the coalition government will rule given sharply contradictory positions. The president believes that the upcoming local elections will show whether or not the deep political crisis is over in Georgia.
