Georgian premier to leave for Batumi as rescue operations continue

"All relevant services have been mobilized in connection with the incident in Batumi. Rescue operations are underway to remove the injured from the rubble,” Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said, Report's local bureau informs.
According to him, the state will provide appropriate assistance to all injured. The prime minister noted that Interior Minister Vakhtang Gomelauri left for Batumi. "I will personally leave for Batumi today to get acquainted with the situation at the scene," he said.
A block of a five-storey building collapsed in Batumi today at 12:00. Two children were rescued from the rubble. The search for other people continues.
