Georgian police to arrest people who drive under influence of drugs

From today onward, persons driving the vehicle under the influence of narcotic, psychotropic and other psychoactive substances in Georgia will be prosecuted.

Georgian bureau of Report informs that a fine or up to 1-year imprisonment will be imposed on those drivers. Moreover, their driver's license will be revoked for three years.

The inspectorate of Patrol Police Department is the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia has been trained to implement new rules. In addition, the department is equipped with German-made drug testing equipment.
