Georgian parliament to elect new speaker today

The Georgian parliament is to elect a new speaker today.
According to Report's local bureau, the parliamentary majority will nominate Kakha Kuchava for the speaker's post.
Former chairman Archil Talakvadze must be confirmed as vice speaker.
Seventy-six deputies must vote for the election of chairman and his deputy to the legislature of the 10th convocation.
Talakvadze resigned on April 24. His deputy Kuchava also headed the friendship group with Azerbaijan in the legislature.
