The Georgian government discusses the possibility of opening land borders, country's Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava said, as quoted by Report's local bureau.
According to her, the main restrictions for the resumption of tourism in Georgia have been removed.
"Vaccination will prevent the third wave of the pandemic. We are currently discussing the conditions for opening land borders, which will have a positive impact on the growth of our financial market."
The free movement through Georgia and Azerbaijan's land borders had been suspended since March 14 last year. The neighboring country accepts its citizens and foreigners who have passed the entire vaccination course across land borders.
