Georgia will receive two new medicines against COVID-19 infection, said Tengiz Tsertsvadze, chief infectious disease specialist of Georgia and director of the Tbilisi Infectious Diseases Hospital, Report informs.

According to him, the drugs will be delivered to the country this week and in the second half of October.

According to the chief infectious disease specialist, both drugs dramatically reduce the risk of aggravation of coronavirus infection: "These medications - Baricitinib and monoclonal antibodies are still used in several leading countries - the United States, Great Britain, and Italy. Georgia will be one of the first countries to use these two medicines."
