Georgia supports termination of mandate of ruling party deputy

The Georgian Parliamentary Committee on Procedures considered the issue of early termination of the mandate of the ruling Georgian Dream Party's deputy Zakaria Kutsnashvili.

Georgian bureau of Report informs that the committee unanimously supported the termination of the parliamentary mandate.

The final decision will be made at the extraordinary plenary session of the parliament.

Notably, on July 3 Kutsnashvili appealed to Georgian parliament speaker Archil Talakvadze about the early termination of his mandate. He is  the elected MP from Tianeti, Kazbegi and Dusheti regions. The deputy led Georgia's delegation in the Interparliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy. The MP took part in the organization of the 26th General Assembly held in Tbilisi, which caused major protests in Georgia.
