Georgia's former prime minister to be released

Currently detained Former Prime Minister and Internal Affairs Minister of Georgia Vano Merabishvili will be released.
Report's Georgian bureau informs that he will be released on February 20, 2020.
Merabishvili was arrested in May 2013 on several criminal cases, including for corruption and abuse of power.
He was sentenced to six years and nine months in prison.
Notably, in 2004-2012 Merabishvili occupied the post of the Internal Minister and from July until October 2012 he was the Prime Minister of the country.
