Georgia's ex-leader to reject extradition to Ukraine - lawyer

Georgia's third president Mikheil Saakashvili will refuse extradition to Ukraine, one of his lawyers, Giorgi Chiviashvili, told journalists, Report informs.

The lawyer, who met with Saakashvili in prison, said that the former president continues his hunger strike.

Giorgi Chiviashvili stressed that it is obvious that Mikheil Saakashvili is a political prisoner: "The position of the ex-president is that he has arrived in his homeland and intends to fight politically."
