Georgia's COVID death toll exceeds 8,500

Over the past day, 1,501 more people have tested positive for coronavirus in Georgia.
The country has reported 1,954 COVID recoveries and 43 deaths, Report's Georgian Service informs with reference to the Georgian Government.
Georgia has recorded a total of 595,264 cases of coronavirus infection since the pandemic began. To date, 559,996 of them have recovered, while 8,541 have died.
As of September 19, there are 26,701 active COVID cases in the country.
