Georgia reports over 5,300 new coronavirus cases, 48 deaths

Some 5,362 people tested positive for COVID-19 over the past day, 2,635 recovered, and 48 died, Report's local bureau informs, citing the country's National Center for Disease Control and Public Health.

Overall, Georgia has reported 461,198 infections, 409,110 recoveries, and 6,230 deaths since the pandemic began.

There are more than 45,000 active coronavirus cases in the country.
