Georgia has approved the use of a third dose (booster) in the process of coronavirus vaccination, Deputy Health Minister Tamar Gabuniya said, according to the local bureau of Report.

According to her, the "booster" dose will be given to people over 50, working in high-risk sectors and with chronic diseases.

The deputy minister noted that vaccination with the third dose will be possible six months after the second dose. Gabunia also said that vaccination against COVID-19 in Georgia will be available for children aged 12 to 15, who suffer from chronic diseases.
