Georgia amends COVID-19 passport rules for foreigners

Georgia has changed the rules for allowing foreign citizens to public facilities with COVID-19 passports, Report informs with reference to the Georgian Government.

Foreigners who are not registered in www.covidpass.moh.gov.ge or CovidPass Georgia and the European Union's digital COVID certification systems must submit a document (electronic or printed version) of the official body of the country granting "green status" to the facilities.

This document can be either a QR code, a certificate confirming the full vaccination, or a negative PCR test result certificate.

Georgia first introduced COVID-19 passports on December 1. Citizens and foreigners over 18 are allowed to enter restaurants, cafes, bars, recreational facilities, theaters, cinemas, museums, concert halls, casinos, spas, gyms, hotels, mountain resorts only by presenting this document. "Green" passports are not required in supermarkets, pharmacies and public transport.
