Former Turkish Prime Minister diagnosed with lung cancer

Former Prime Minister of Turkey Mesut Yılmaz has undergone surgery on lung cancer.
Report informs citing the Hurriyet that the 71-year-old former president, who was discharged from the hospital, is now being treated with chemical therapy.
He said in January that a cancerous tumor was detected in his lung: “On January 23, I had successful surgery. Now I am treated with chemical therapy. My visits have been limited due to influenza virus and infection. The treatment proceeds normally."
Ahmet Mesut Yılmaz was born in Istanbul on November 6, 1947. He served as the Turkish Foreign Minister in 1987-1990.
