Former Armenian FM reportedly related to bribery

Baku. 3 November. REPORT.AZ/ Former Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanyan is reportedly related to bribery, Report informs citing Armenian media.

It is noted that his name was recorded in the testimony of the businessman Silva Ambartsumyan.

According to the information, the former FM attempted to leave the country, but he was not allowed to cross the border.

‘This is not the first case related to Vardan Oskanyan. In 2012, a criminal case was launched against him on legalization of a large amount of illegal income’.

The news also mentioned hooliganism committed by Vardan Oskanyan’s son: ‘’In 2013, his son S. Orkanyan broke a young man’s nose in the quarrel. In 2017, he was detained over threating a man owing to him, then was released’.

Vardan Oskanyan was born in on February 7, 1955 in Aleppo, Syria. He worked as a Foreign Minister of Armenia in 1998-2008.
