FM: Azerbaijan is an important partner for Georgia

Azerbaijan is an important partner and neighboring country for us, we have friendly relations, Georgia's Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili said, Report informs.

"These friendly relations are based on the ties and friendship between our peoples. The common interests of the two countries should, of course, be directed towards the well-being of the region and better presentation of the region's role, so that both countries can properly present their interests in the international arena," said Bochorishvili.

She noted that important high-level meetings were held in Azerbaijan.

"It was important for us that after the elections, under the new government, Georgia's Prime Minister made his first visit to neighboring countries. We started the tour from Azerbaijan," emphasized Georgia's Foreign Minister.
