The face-to-face interrogation of Gayane Hakobyan, the mother of a fallen soldier, and Ashot Pashinyan, the son of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, is scheduled for today, human rights activist Ruben Melikyan said.
Report informs via Armenian media that, according to Melikyan, the woman was transferred from the Erebuni medical center to an isolation ward this night.
On May 17, Ashot Pashinyan filed a crime report with the police, in which he indicated that on the same day a woman who introduced herself as the mother of a deceased serviceman tried to kidnap him, offering to get into her car.
A criminal proceeding was initiated on the grounds of the article "Kidnapping of a person or his close relative, or a close person in connection with the performance by this person of his state, political, official, professional or social activities."

Gayane Hakobyan, the mother of a service member who died in Karabakh, was hospitalized after being detained on suspision of abducting Ashot Pashinyan, the son of the Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Report informs via Sputnik Armenia.
"Gayane Hakobyan who was detained for 10-11 hours fell unwell, and was brought to the medical center Erebuni on an ambulance accompanied by police," head of the human rights organization Legal Way Ruben Melikyan said speaking live on a social network.
He assumed that the woman might be brought from hospital to the detention ward. The lawyer also said that dozens of her supporters are gathering at the medical center.
"According to the official version, a woman alone abducted an able-bodied man aged 23-24 ... So far, there has been no confrontation with Ashot Pashinyan. I think that the confrontation will take place tomorrow, and we'll see how Ashot Pashinyan will claim that Mrs. Gayane - a middle-aged and average-shaped Armenian woman - abducted an able-bodied man," Melikyan said.
Earlier, lawyers for the relatives of the deceased soldiers stated that the accusation of kidnapping Pashinyan's son was unfounded, and the parents of the deceased soldiers did not commit any illegal actions.
The Call of Sons organization denied the kidnapping accusations. They noted that members of the organization accidentally met Ashot Pashinyan, only the mothers of the deceased soldiers approached him, offered to get into the car, talk and go together to the Yerablur military cemetery in Yerevan. The organization claims that Ashot Pashinyan did not object and got into the car of one of the mothers and went to Yerablur and then on the way to the cemetery he "jumped out of the car for some unknown reason." The organization said in a statement that only the mother of the deceased soldier was in the car in which the prime minister's son was traveling.
