Expert: Bayraktar plant will be built in Ukraine no matter what

Dmitry Gromakov, a Ukrainian communications expert at the International Center for Combating Russian Aggression, expressed confidence that the Bayraktar military drone plant in Ukraine will be constructed and commissioned, adding that this would not be hindered by statements of Russian officials.

Report's East European Bureau informs that, according to Gromakov, a meeting was recently held between the management of Bayraktar Akıncı and President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy. During the meeting, the intention to build a plant for the production of Bayraktar attack unmanned aerial vehicles was confirmed again.

Commenting on this fact, the press secretary of the President of Russia said that if such a plant is built, it will become a target for the Russian Armed Forces.

“But, as practice shows, Russia’s ability to deliver missile strikes deep into the country, bypassing Ukrainian air defense, is declining. Therefore, contrary to the wishes of Russian officials, this plant will be built and it will operate,” the expert stressed.

Gromakov noted that Bayraktars are quite effective, so the demand for them is great: "And most importantly, their number will be sufficient both to protect the plant and the territory of Ukraine."
