Foreign Ministers of 27 EU countries will hold a scheduled meeting today in Luxembourg to approve a mission on the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan, a high-ranking EU official told journalists in Brussels.
Report informs, citing TASS, that, according to the diplomat, there are no details of the mission yet.
"I can only say that about 400 observers will be deployed at the first stage," he said, stressing that the first observers will be sent to the border of the two countries from the EU mission in Georgia.
On October 6, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with President of France Emmanuel Macron, President of the European Council Charles Michel and Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan in Prague. During the talks, it was decided to send a civilian mission of the European Union to the territory of Armenia near the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
