"We are witnessing one of the most turbulent periods in human history," Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in a video message sent to the meeting of the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum.
"Security issues, terrorist activities, and infectious diseases, which are always on the world's agenda, do not allow us to restore peaceful conditions fully. Unfortunately, these problems, which threaten all of humanity, leave deep traces in most Islamic geographies. Muslims struggling with conflict, migration, poverty, and disease across wide geography from Syria to Afghanistan are forced to fight growing Islamophobia and racism, especially in Western societies," he noted.
"This unjust regime can not continue," the Turkish President added.
