Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has taken the oath.

Report informs that the event was held in the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye.

With that, Erdogan began to exercise his powers for the new presidential term.

The swearing-in ceremony of the re-elected President of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has got underway.

According to Report, the ceremony is held in the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye.

Erdogan was welcomed by the temporary speaker of the parliament, chairman of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Devlet Bagceli.

After the ceremony, Erdogan will visit Anitkabir and attend the Inauguration Ceremony at the Presidential Complex.

Erdogan will host guests at a dinner at the Cankaya Palace, the former home of Turkish presidents, after the ceremony.

He is expected to announce his Cabinet after dinner.

Erdogan won a presidential runoff election last Sunday with 52.18% of the vote. Opposition candidate Kemal Kilicdaroglu received 47.82%, according to final results released by the country's Supreme Election Council.
