Erdogan's spokesperson: Crimea should belong to Ukraine if peace treaty with Russia signed

If a peace treaty is signed between Russia and Ukraine, Crimea will have to become part of Ukraine again, the official representative of the Presidency of Turkiye Ibrahim Kalin told CNN.

The annexation of Crimea by Russia is illegal, and Turkiye's position on this matter has not changed since 2014, he said, adding that Crimea is part of the territory of Ukraine. This should form the basis of any agreement between the Russian Federation and Ukraine.
