Erdogan plans to visit Israel

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has unveiled his plans to visit Israel to several senior members of the Jewish community in the United States, Report informs, citing Jewish Telegraph Agency (JTA).

The date of the proposed visit is not revealed.

Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid is set to meet with Erdogan during the UN General Assembly this week.

On September 17, Erdogan announced that he would appoint a new ambassador to Israel "as soon as possible". A month before, the parties restored diplomatic relations.
