In the recent past, important steps were taken in terms of stability in the Caucasus, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Tuesday, speaking at the 76th session of the UN General Assembly.
Report informs that the Turkish president said Azerbaijan used its right to defense to end the occupation.
"Azerbaijan has used its legitimate right to defense to put an end to the occupation of its lands by fulfilling the UN Security Council resolutions, which were ignored for years. Windows of new opportunities have opened for the sake of sustainable peace in the Caucasus. We are full of determination to support each positive step made by the parties," the Turkish leader said.
