Mikheil Saakashvili's extradition to Ukraine is out of the question, Georgian Ambassador to Ukraine Giorgi Zakarashvili said.
Report's local bureau informs that, according to him, extradition means the extradition of the offender.
"As far as I know, no criminal case has been filed against him in Ukraine. Mikheil Saakashvili has no status in Ukraine. Accordingly, there is no demand for his extradition to Ukraine, and as far as I know, it cannot be," the diplomat said.
Zakarashvili noted that all the norms of Georgian law on the ex-president and international law are observed.
The former Georgian president, a Ukrainian citizen, was detained in Tbilisi on October 1.
