Derbent to protect monument to Nizami Ganjavi from Vandals

Derbent figured out how to protect a monument to the great Azerbaijani poet, thinker Nizami Ganjavi from vandals, Mayor of Derbent city Hizri Abakarov has written in his blog on the social network, Report informs citing local media.

Abakarov said that the new monument of the poet will be made of granite or bronze. Masters from Azerbaijan have already presented two versions of the monument. Both models are presented to the public - residents will choose what the new sculpture will look like. Earlier,  the hooligans have repeatedly attempted to damage the monument.
