Tbilisi. November 19. REPORT.AZ/The debts of more than 600,000 Georgian citizens to banks, online-lending financial institutions and other financial institutions will be liquidated.
Local Bureau of Report News Agency informs that the due statement came from Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze at a briefing.
He said that the liquidation process will begin on December 15 and will end on December 31. "About 95% of the loans shown in the 'Black List' are the loans that do not exceed GEL 2,000 per person. It means that the financial commitments making nearly 1,5 billion dollars borrowed by more than 600,000 citizens from banks, online-lending financial institutions and other financial institutions will be liquidated. According to today's decision, these loans of our citizens are reset. It should be noted that this category includes citizens with social security and limited opportunities."
Bakhtadze noted that the process of debt repayment will be implemented with the support of Kartu Foundation.
