COVID mortality hits new record in Russia

Over the past day, medical experts recorded 23,378 new cases of coronavirus infection in Russia, Report informs referring to Russian media.
The total number of registered cases in the country since the pandemic onset has reached 5,658,672.
Currently, 417,504 Russians are undergoing treatment to beat the viral disease.
To date, a total of 139,316 people died due to COVID-related health complications in Russia, including 737 deaths seen over the past day. The number of recoveries is 5,101,852.
More than 184.9 million people globally have contracted the virus since the onset of the pandemic. The deadly pathogen has claimed over 4.001 million lives, though unable to cope with 169.3 million patients, who managed to recover.
