COVID mortality hits new record in Russia

Over the past day, medical experts recorded 25,082 new cases of coronavirus infection in Russia, Report informs referring to Russian media.
The total number of registered cases in the country since the pandemic onset has reached 5,758,300.
To date, a total of 142,253 people died due to COVID-related health complications in Russia, including 752 deaths seen over the past day.
More than 186 million people globally have contracted the virus since the onset of the pandemic. The deadly pathogen has claimed over 4 million lives, though unable to cope with 170.9 million patients, who managed to recover.
