Coronavirus latest: Uzbekistan's tally hits 900

Uzbekistan, located in Central Asia, has reported another 31 cases of the novel coronavirus, Report says, citing the Health Ministry of the country.

"As of April 10, there are 896 confirmed cases in the country."

Notably, Uzbekistan recorded the first coronavirus case on March 15.

Notably, the coronavirus infection emerged in the Chinese city of Wuhan in December last year. 209 states and regions have already reported on confirmed cases.

The number of confirmed cases globally has so far exceeded 1 853 000, 423 728 of those recovered, while 96 794 died.

On February 11, the WHO officially named the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) as COVID-19, and on March 11, the organization declared it a pandemic.
